“The newest computer can merely compound, at speed, the oldest problem in the relations between human beings, and in the end the communicator will be confronted with the old problem, of what to say and how to say it.”  –Edward R. Murrow

Learning and using new technologies makes the field of communication one of today’s most exciting professions.  Whether adapting a message for use in different media, or repurposing a ‘story’ in ways that appeal to different audiences, today we can augment traditional forms of communication (print, display, radio, television) with New Media offerings that vastly extend our ‘reach’. Traditional or digital, communications always begins with a well-crafted message.

In my career I’ve been fortunate work across the broadest possible field of communications. As a graphic designer, working with visual layout to create clear, user-friendly environments on the web and in print; as a writer, writing to instruct, educate or entertain; as a photographer, gathering photo elements for compositing, or documenting memorable events; and as a video producer, capturing and editing compelling stories both great and small. I’ve also had the pleasure of combining all these forms, on occasion, into creating displays for exhibition.

Welcome to this small online gallery of my work. Please have a look around! I love designing, writing, shooting, interviewing, and generally trying to make communications that work. I hope you like what you see.

Welcome

A producer of cross-media, integrated communications, with hands-on creative, technical and managerial experience.
